140 LPs later

I have totally run out of gas, musically speaking. So for those of you who tune in for the occasional music recommendation, the best I can do is direct you to Jimmie's comment on this post:
Try Sun Giant EP by Fleet Foxes. Apparently, this EP is a sampler of a forthcoming full-length album (Ragged Wood is due in June, 2008) by this Seattle-based Psych-Folk band. Imagine a weird, mystical, combination of Grizzly Bear, Crosby, Stills & Nash, My Morning Jacket, Fleetwood Mac and a gospel choir. If the only thing left to do in pop music is fusions of existing bands, then those mash-ups might as well be revelatory. All music should be this pretty and uplifting.
It was The Cloud Doctrine by Angus Maclise that sealed the deal. Way too experimental. Way too long. Even for me.

Anyone out there looking to form a group music blog, I'm game. But I clearly can't run one myself, because someone needs a break every now and again.
